Route changes from 7th September 2019:

Routes B, C and 3 will be withdrawn. Use alternative Safeguard and Stagecoach bus routes.

Route 391 (Beeline) will be extended from Woking via Route 35 to Guildford Friary.

Route A will be incorporated into Route 446, with Route 446 being extended to Royal Surrey Hospital.

Route 91 Evening and Sunday extension to Guildford via Route 28 will be replaced with an evening and Sunday service on Route 28. Links to Guildford will be retained by extended Route 391.

Routes 134 and 135 will be renumbered 34S, 35S to better reflect school route numbering elsewhere in the group.

L1/Group - New Heathrow Routes

Due to the London ULEZ, all non-TfL bus routes entering the ULEZ will have Euro 6 buses. Bus route changes will also take place in order for more bus routes to serve Heathrow North Bus Garage, to facilitate easier staffing. With the 7series rebranding to /countywings, more routes will be extended to Heathrow.

From 1st September 2019:
Route 77: Heathrow-Windsor shorts will be withdrawn, route running every 30 minutes throughout.

Route 191: Extended daily from Slough Bus Station to Heathrow North Garage

Route 566: Re-jigged to run as follows: Heathrow North-Heathrow T5-Stanwell Moor-Ashford Hospital-Staines-Egham-Stroude-Virginia Water-Knowle Hill.

Route 567: Re-jigged to run as follows: Heathrow North-Heathrow T5-Stanwell Moor-Ashford Hospital-Staines-Egham-Thorpe-Virginia Water-Knowle Hill

New Route 746: Runs between Heathrow Central-Heathrow T5-Wisley-Uni of Surrey-Guildford as a new Railair service.

Route 79A: Renumbered to Route 448. Existing Optare TempoSRs will be converted to Euro 6 for this route. To now only run during University term time. Routes 446 and 476 replaces this route during the university holidays. Will be rebranded as part of the Surrey Locals branding.

Route 170: Renumbered to Route 353. Existing Optare TempoSR will be refurbished and converted to Euro VI.

Route 171: Renumbered to Route 555. Day route extended to Whiteley Village from Hersham. New Mercedes Citaro Ks will be introduced. Night service renumbered N55.

Route 172: Renumbered to Route 557. Extended from Woking via existing 73 to Chobham Village. Rerouted away from Sheerwater. New Mercedes Citaro Ks will be introduced.

Route 173: Renumbered to Route 436. Rerouted between Woking and Guildford via Old Woking and Send. Extended to Guildford Rail Station. New Mercedes Citaro Ks will supplement the existing allocation.

Route 174: Renumbered to Route 723. Rerouted from Hemel Hempstead to run direct to Luton Airport, then Luton Airport Parkway and Luton Town. Hemel Hempstead-Dunstable section to be replaced by new Route 274 (Hemel Hempstead-Dunstable-Luton). Extended from Heathrow T6 to Heathrow North Garage. To be joint-branded with 724 as Green Line. New Scania/Irizar i3 will be introduced.

Route 175: Renumbered to Route 193. New Mercedes Citaros will be introduced. Rerouted from Heathrow T5 to Heathrow Central.

Route 176: Renumbered to Route 462. New Volvo B8RLE/Wright Eclipse 3s will be introduced.

Route 177: Renumbered to Route 76A, and rerouted between Langley and Slough via current Route 178. New Volvo 7900 electric buses will be introduced.

Route 178: Renumbered to Route 78A. Rerouted between Langley and Slough via current Route 177. Existing Enviro 200MMCs will be used from Route 177.

Route 6: Renumbered to Route 356. Extended from Slough to Heathrow Terminal 4 via Bath Road. Route 461: Extended from Staines via Heathrow Terminal 5 to Heathrow Terminal 6. New Volvo B8RLE/Wright Eclipse 3s will be introduced.

Route 476: New route to enhance Route 479, as well as replace Route 79A during university holidays.

Route 566/567: New Enviro 200MMCs will be introduced.

Route X25 Reading Railair: Renumbered to Route 747. New smaller coaches introduced.

Route 700: Frequency revised to run 8bpd Hyde Park Corner-Heathrow North late evening ex-715, 756, 798. 4bpd Heathrow North-Victoria early morning which becomes 715 and 797 (2bpd each). 4bpd return, all daily. 700 journeys ex-756 are run by Scania/Irizar i3. 700 journeys ex-715 are run by Volvo B8RLE/Wright Eclipse 2s. 700 journeys ex-798/797 are run by coaches. All other journeys are run by 701/702 allocation.

Route 701/702: New Volvo B8L/Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 buses will be introduced.

Route 724: New Scania/Irizar i3 will be introduced. Journeys departing between 2200 and 0400hrs from Harlow will be numbered N24, and extended to Heathrow North. Journeys which depart Heathrow Central between 2200 and 0400hrs will start at Heathrow North Garage, and run as Route N24.

Route N24: Number for journeys between 2200 and 0400hrs on Route 724, with journeys extended to Heathrow North. Runs Heathrow North-Harlow.

Route N41: Replaces 71 night service, runs Heathrow Central-Heathrow North-Heathrow T5-Staines-Slough

Route N46: Replaces 79 night service, runs Heathrow North-Heathrow Central-Uni of Surrey via 79, then to Royal Surrey Hospital.

From 2nd November 2019, changes in West London will be take place:
Route 117 will be rerouted from Isleworth via London Road, Brentford and Ealing Road to Brentford, Great West Quarter, replacing Route 235.
Route 235 will be rerouted from Isleworth via St John's Road and Twickenham Road to West Middlesex Hospital.
Both routes will swap buses, thus Route 235 will be operated by new electric single deckers ordered against the 117 contract.
Route 117 will be increased to every 8-9 minutes.
Route 235 will be decreased to every 12 minutes.
Route 278/278N will return to Chiswick High Road, with Route 9 being withdrawn between Chiswick Business Park and Hammersmith, being extended instead to Hammersmith Bridge Road, pending re-opening of Hammersmith Bridge for extension to Mortlake.
Route 335 (335D) extra journeys will be withdrawn.
Route X91 will be rerouted between Turnham Green and Hammersmith to stop at all stops on Sutton Court Road and Great West Road to replace Route 278/278N.

Route X15 is a new route running between Waterloo and Romford Market, running every 12 minutes Monday-Saturday, and every 15 minutes every Sunday.
This allows frequency decreases on Routes 5 and 115.
High specification Volvo B5LH/Gemini 3s from the X43, as well as new ones from the 5/115 order.

440 will be rerouted within Chiswick to run from Chiswick Health Centre, via Chiswick High Road, Turnham Green, Chiswick Park Station to line of route. Minor changes along the route in Park Royal will also happen. The route will also be extended via Harrow Road from Stonebridge Park to Wembley Stadium, replacing Route 224. A double decker conversion will also occur. The route is notably going to be tendered 1 year early.
Route 224 will be withdrawn between Alperton, Sainsbury's and Wembley Stadium.

Route N117 will be rerouted between Mortlake and Isleworth Busch Corner, running via Lower Mortlake Road, Richmond Station & Bus Station then via Route H37 to Twickenham War Memorial, then via Busch Corner to line of route. The route will be renumbered to N97. This will replace the H37 weekend night service. This change will start on 25th May 2019.

To reduce the buses on Chiswick High Road, the following changes will occur on 25th May 2019:
209: Withdrawn between Hammersmith and Ealing Broadway
278/278N: Rerouted between Hammersmith and Turnham Green via Great West Road, Hogarth Roundabout, Sutton Court Road.
335: Rerouted between Ealing Common and North Ealing via Ealing Broadway

Route 23/23N will be extended to Wembley Stadium via Route 429/429N, and withdrawn between Marble Arch and Liverpool Street. The route will move to the current operator of Route 429, Heathrow Buses. Routes 7 and 94 will have minor increases to compensate for capacity. This change will commence on 25th May 2019.

New Route 497 will run between Harold Hill (Hilldene Avenue) and Harold Wood Station via Hilldene Avenue, Chatteris Avenue, Faringdon Avenue, Ashton Road, Tangent Link, Whitelands Way, Gallows Corner Tesco, Lister Avenue and St Clements Avenue. Every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime, hourly early mornings, evenings and Sundays. Route will commence from 24th August 2019.

In order to reduce overcapacity around Central London:

Route 9/N9 will be rerouted via Piccadilly Circus
Route 25/N will be rerouted between Oxford Circus and Hyde Park Corner via Oxford Street, Marble Arch and Park Lane to replace Route 73
Route 67 will be withdrawn between Dalston Junction and Aldgate, replaced by Route 242

L1/Group - Christmas Day 2018

On Christmas Day, a special, limited service will run on L1/Group Buses in London & the Home Counties. As Transport for London services will not run until Boxing Day morning, a commercial bus service will run on certain routes throughout London by L1/Group.

London/TfL area services:

Christmas Eve night-Christmas Day morning:
N111: A special service will run overnight on this route, running between Heathrow North Garage-Heathrow Central then normal line of route to Sutton, then via N213 route through Carshalton to West Croydon Bus Station. This service will run hourly throughout the night.

No service on any other route.

Christmas Day:
9C: A special service running only on Christmas Day, running between Heathrow North Garage-Heathrow T5, then via the N9 route to Shoreditch. This service will run hourly between 0600 and 2100.

21C: A special service running only on Christmas Day, running between Newington Green and Bexleyheath via the 21 and N21 routes through Lewisham. This service will run hourly between 0900 and 1700.

43C: A special service running only on Christmas Day, running between London Bridge and Barnet Church via the X43 route, but calling at all stops enroute. This service will run hourly between 0900 and 1630.

335: The section between Chiswick Rail Station and South Harrow will run an hourly service between 0800 and 1800. There is no service between South Harrow and South Ruislip.

Other News:

From 4th November 2017, Route 490 will gain an every 30 minute night service with an addition of 2 journeys.

From 11th November 2017, Route 22 will be de-converted from LT operation, as the route is changed in Barnes to terminate at Barnes Pond, which cannot accommodate the LT buses. Thus the LTs will move from Route 22 to Routes 87 and N87. New Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 buses will replace the LTs on the 22, ordered against the 87/N87 contract.

Routes 190, 283, 311, 480, 483 are involved in a large change, resulting in tenders being re-negotiated:
Route 190 will be extended from West Brompton via 311 to Aldwych, and moved onto the 311 contract.
As a result, route 311 will be withdrawn. As LTs cannot fit via Richmond, they will be redistributed.
Route 480 will be rerouted away from Richmond to Kew Riverside via 311, then routed via the 483 between Stamford Brook and White City Estate, thus running between Ealing Broadway and Kew Riverside.
Route 283 will be diverted away from East Acton, instead running via 483 to Maida Hill.
Route 483, as a result, will be withdrawn.
This change will happen on 7th January 2018

Routes 13/N13 will be extended from Aldwych to London Bridge from 7th January 2018
Route N9 will be rerouted from Aldgate to Shoreditch Church via Liverpool Street from 7th January 2018

Route N22 will be extended from Fulwell to Kingston from 7th January 2018

Due to heavily reduced patronage on Route N97, the N97 will be withdrawn from 7th January 2018. Replacements include Routes N74, N117, 278N.

From 20th January 2018, the following changes will happen in Southall:
90: Withdrawn between Yeading White Hart and Southall North, extended instead to Northolt Station. PVR reduction.
95: Extended from Southall Station to Southall Bus Garage South. No PVR change.
204: Withdawn between Greenford Broadway and Southall North. PVR reduction of 2.
207: Withdrawn between Southall Town Hall and Southall North, extended instead to Southall Bus Garage South. No PVR change.

New Route 429 (24hr route) will run between Notting Hill Gate and Wembley Stadium, via parts of Route 23 and 18. This route will start on 20th January 2018

Route 392 will be rerouted away from Hanwell, diverted from Brentford Watermans Centre via Ealing Road, South Ealing to Ealing Broadway (Haven Green). Thus, the route will run Brixton-Ealing Broadway. 
To cover the loss of night service on Boston Manor Road, Route N164 will be rerouted away from North Acton to Ealing Hospital via current 456.
This change will happen on 20th January 2018

Route 9H will be withdrawn from 17th November 2018, and all resources will move to Route 15H.

Route X15 is a new route running between Waterloo and Romford Market, running every 12 minutes Monday-Saturday, and every 15 minutes every Sunday.
This allows frequency decreases on Routes 5 and 115.
High specification Volvo B5LH/Gemini 3s from the X43, as well as new ones from the 5/115 order.

440 will be rerouted within Chiswick to run from Chiswick Health Centre, via Chiswick High Road, Turnham Green, Chiswick Park Station to line of route. Minor changes along the route in Park Royal will also happen. The route will also be extended via Harrow Road from Stonebridge Park to Wembley Stadium, replacing Route 224. A double decker conversion will also occur. The route is notably going to be tendered 1 year early.

Route 224 will be withdrawn between Alperton, Sainsbury's and Wembley Stadium.

Due to the electric conversion of Route 43, the route has been tendered early.

Route 104 will be split to run between Stratford and Lonsdale Avuene, then extended to Beckton Bus Station
New route 304 will run between Manor Park and Custom House via 104 then Newham Hospital, Prince Regent.

With the new routes gained by RATP/London Sovereign, a new outstation to Edgware Garage (Parr Road) will be opened. This will house routes 251, 288, 303, 324.

IMPORTANT NEWS:
L1/Group has bought Rotala Group, and due to competition concerns,the garages in London will be sold off as follows. These transfers will happen on 14th April 2018:
Croydon (C) Garage will be sold to New Citybus, with routes 196, 202, 320 and 434 moving.
Willesden (AC) Garage will be retained by L1/Heathrow Buses to relieve Wembley (WE).
Routes 28/N28 and 302 will be moved to Tower Transit from Westbourne Park (X)

Other News:

Due to issues with delivery of new buses to cascade buses for the 152, 163 and 164, and bus lease deadlines, L1/Heathrow Buses are to loan ex-Metroline Scania N230UD/East Lancs Olympus buses from Ensignbus to cover. This allows the cascaded fleet and transferred fleet to be deep-cleaned, as well as relieve overcrowding on the bus routes. However, as this arrangement will not start until June 2017, the timetable for routes 163 and 164 will be significantly slowed in order to increase reliability on the routes due to the overcrowding.

Part of the site of L1/Group's DI (Brentford Dockside) Garage (Commerce Road site) will move to form a new garage near Chiswick Roundabout in June 2017. It will be split from DI and will gain the code CK (Chiswick).

From 24th June 2017, Route X26 will gain an every 30 minute night service.

Due to the new X26 night service:
From 4th November 2017, Route N111 will be extended to Sutton, Bushey Road
From 4th November 2017, Route N4 will be withdrawn between Streatham Station and Croydon, Park Street
Route N4 will be replaced by new Route N250 between Clapham Junction, Falcon Road & Croydon, Park Street

From 4th November 2017, Route 490 will gain an every 30 minute night service with an addition of 2 journeys.
